| About NCRA Education Foundation |
The NCRA Educational Foundation is a non profit 501(c)(3) organization with the mission of "supporting the advancement of the Cancer Registry profession through education and research." The Foundation is an essential partner for the prevention, research and cure of cancer. The Foundation supports its mission by assuring education, training and resources for Cancer Registry professionals in order to provide quality data. The Foundation is interested in identifying research priorities to enhance the ability for cancer registry data to be used in quality research.
PRIORITIES & PROGRAMS
The NCRA Education Foundation just recently received its exempt status from the IRS. Programs are in development to identify research priorities within the cancer registry field. Several working committees have been formed to assist in the prioritization of research and education. The Foundation has four Goals:
1. Administration and Internal Communications - Assure a sound infrastructure to maintain the Foundation.
2. Finance - Maintain financial stability.
3. Public Relations and External Communications - Promote the activities and achievements of the Foundation.
4. Project Development and Fundraising - Identify, prioritize and fund projects consistent with our mission and vision. The Foundation is the first public charity with the sole purpose of encouraging the advancement of data quality in cancer research through direct support of research and education. |
